Vegan cheese is a healthy alternative to dairy-based cheeses since they do not contain any ingredients of animal origin and contain only cholesterol-free vegetable fats from nuts. This smoked vegan cheese is made from peanuts, a dry fruit rich in plant-based proteins, folic acid and vitamins.

Ingredients to make Vegan Smoked Cheese:
- 150 grams of raw peanuts
- 40 grams of brewer’s yeast
- 1 tablespoon of paprika from La Vera
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tablespoon maple or agave syrup
- 1 lemon (juice)
- 1¾ cups of water (420 milliliters)
- 1 tablespoon of agar agar powder
How to make Vegan Smoked Cheese:
Step NO 1
Place peanuts, brewer’s yeast, paprika, turmeric, salt, pepper, garlic, maple syrup, lemon juice and a cup of water in blender glass. Beat ingredients until a homogeneous mixture is formed.
Step NO 2
In a saucepan, pour rest of water and dilute agar agar. Put the water to heat over medium heat, bring it to a boil and keep boiling for 4-5 minutes, stirring continuously with rods.
Step NO 3
Remove saucepan from the heat and pour crushed peanuts inside . Stir well.
Step NO 4
Prepare a round mold lined with greaseproof paper and pour mixture inside. Store vegan smoked cheese in fridge for at least an hour to harden.
Step NO 5
When vegan cheese is hard enough, remove it from mold .
