In this recipe we are going to explain a little about the marinade of our Christmas turkey , I decided to choose simple ingredients that everyone can get them in any supermarket, generally citrus fruits such as orange go very well with turkey. Marinating is a cooking technique that consists of soaking a food with a flavored liquid and other varied ingredients, which should be to the liking of the cook. Ideally, marinate 12 or 24 hours before preparing the preparation so that it penetrates well into the protein we intend to work with.
If you don’t have that much time, you can make it and marinate it for an hour before starting to make the recipe. Take note of the ingredients and prepare a delicious turkey breast stuffed with minced meat.
How to make minced meat stuffed turkey breast:
Our first step is to pre-list all the ingredients to make the inexpensive Christmas turkey .The first thing we are going to do is prepare the marinade with which we are going to bathe the stuffed turkey. Add the orange juice, a tablespoon of honey, oregano to taste and garlic paste . Stir this very well until the ingredients of our recipe are integrated.
Stretch the turkey breasts and fill them with pieces of minced meat , in this case I added sautéed beef pulp with a little salt and pepper to taste. Add the ground meat in half of the turkey breasts and roll with great force to be able to put the wooden sticks and take our recipe to the oven.
Add the wooden chopsticks so that the turkey is tightly rolled and the filling does not come out. Add salt and pepper to taste, take the stuffed turkey breasts to a baking dish and add the marinade on top.
With a brush, add a little honey to each of the pieces.
They take on a little color in the oven. Bake them at 180ºC until they reach the desired doneness. Remove the Christmas turkey from the oven, as you can see in the photograph, the honey gives a really nice color to our preparation. Carefully remove the chopsticks and cut the stuffed turkey breast into medallions .
To accompany it, I decided to make a salad of fresh spinach with orange wedges , this as an additional something to the recipe and as a good companion.
Serve the stuffed turkey medallions as shown in the photo
