Easy to make Tuna and peppers omelette recipe

This tuna omelette recipe was the first thing I learned to make when I went on a diet and had to put my carnivorous nature aside. I didn’t eat a lot of vegetables back then, nor did I know how to use them either, so my range of steak alternatives was narrow. The nice thing is that it needs few ingredients (at least a couple of eggs and tuna) and it doesn’t take you more than 15 minutes, so you get out of trouble.

Here is my own recipe, where I added a little more flavor. As for portions and quantities, I am able to eat the whole tortilla, but it depends on each person, their taste for tuna (I love it) and the accompaniment. Worthy recipe for those who want to lose a little weight healthily, as it has a good source of protein and is low in carbohydrates.

Ingredients to make tuna and peppers omelette:

  • 2 units of Eggs
  • 1 can of Tuna in Water
  • 1 unit of Onion
  • 1 unit of Red, green, yellow pepper
  • 1 pinch of Parsley, pepper, salt and olive oil

How to make tuna and peppers omelette:

Step NO 1

Start by cutting the onion and peppers into very small cubes , or according to how much you like to feel the onion in the food, and fry it in a drop of oil until it is golden brown (although I like it rather burned, love burned onion), remove and cool.

Step NO 2

Open the jar of tuna and drain the liquid as much as possible because if it is very watery, the tortilla sticks more easily. Mix with the fried onion and season to taste. Before adding the eggs, place the pan with a little oil to heat.

Step NO 3

Mix everything very well and immediately pour into the hot pan, to prevent it from sticking (it is a real chunk and a frustration for every cook). With a spatula, slowly peel off the bottom of the tortilla and when you notice that it is firmer, place a plate the size of the pan upside down on the tortilla and remove everything from the heat.

Turn everything over and fry the tortilla for the side that is still raw BE CAREFUL! I have several burnt oil stains thanks to these nice tortillas .
