Ingredients to make Torta de Santiago:
- 1/2 kg ground almonds
- 1/2 kg of sugar
- 7 eggs
- 150 grams of butter
- 150 grams of flour
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 glass of sweet sherry
- 50 g icing sugar

How to make Torta de Santiago:
Step NO 1
Prepare a dough with an egg, butter, flour and a splash of water.
Step NO 2
Knead it and line an aluminum mold with it. The dough must be very thin.
Step NO 3
In a separate bowl mix the ground almonds with the sugar and cinnamon.
Step NO 4
Add the sherry little by little and the six eggs until they form a homogeneous mass.
Step NO 5
Pour the dough into the mold and bake at a low temperature until golden brown and the base is cooked for approx. 1 hour.

Step NO 6
Let it cool, unmold it and sprinkle it with icing sugar.
Step NO 7
In Santiago, a pattern with the Cross is usually put to decorate it.
