- 1 teaspoon of fine salt
- 500 grams of wheat flour
- 125 cubic centimeters of sunflower oil
- 250 cubic centimeters of warm water
How to make Mexican wheat flour tortillas:
Step NO 1
Place the wheat flour in a large bowl, add a pinch of salt and make a hole in the center. Inside that hole we will pour the water and oil and, with great care, we will mix with our hands.
Step NO 2
Knead until it forms a homogeneous dough that does not stick in your hands. As an advice, we tell you that it is not convenient to knead by doubling the dough, as we do not want it to harden.
Step NO 3
Let the tortilla dough rest for 10 minutes covered with a clean cloth. Meanwhile, we heat a frying pan with oil.
Step NO 4
To form the tortillas, we take balls of dough the size of a walnut and crush them a little with our hand on the floured table, (there is a thick medallion left). Next, the edges of the medallion must be crushed with your fingers, while you rotate it between your hands.

Finally, we stretch with the floured rolling pin, giving the tortilla a round shape, to make it as thin as possible.
Step NO 6
We cook each of the flour tortillas in the pan until it begins to brown, we turn it over to finish cooking. They have to be soft to be bent easily.
