Ingredients to make Baked Eggs with Tomato:

  • 4 units of Eggs
  • 4 tablespoons ricotta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 80 grams of cherry tomatoes
  • 4 teaspoons whole milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 pinch of oregano

How to make Baked Eggs with Tomato:

Step NO 1

First step you must do is get the ingredients ready to proceed to cook the eggs in the oven with tomato.

Bring a pan to medium heat and, once hot, add the olive oil and cherry tomatoes . Sauté with a little salt, black pepper and oregano.

Remove the cherry tomatoes from the pan when they are well sautéed and place a few in the oven pan, as shown in the photograph. I have used individual casseroles, so I have distributed the tomatoes among all of them. But if you prefer, you can use a large container and place them all there.

Sprinkle if you want a little more oregano to each of the casseroles. Preheat the oven to 180ºC and insert the containers to bake the eggs with tomato . The cooking time depends on how you like the yolk of the egg, although I recommend between five and seven minutes, since I like the egg with the soft yolk and the white cooked. And if you want the completely hard yolk, you should leave the eggs in the oven for approximately seven to 12 minutes.

Tip: Remember that you can change the oregano for any other spice you want.

This egg dish is ideal for people who are lovers of tomatoes, I decided to use cherry tomatoes because I had them in the pantry but you can use large tomatoes and cut them into squares.
